“The vigorous, continual planting of new congregations is the single most crucial strategy for 1) the numerical growth of the Body of Christ in any city, and 2) the continual corporate renewal and revival of the existing churches in a city. Nothing else–not crusades, outreach programs, para-church ministries, growing mega-churches, congregational consulting, nor church renewal processes–will have the consistent impact of dynamic, extensive church planting. This is an eyebrow raising statement. But to those who have done any study at all, it is not even controversial.” - Tim Keller

This summer’s vacation was much needed and ended up on the calendar at the perfect time. We left for vacation on July 22 and returned July 29 and had our last Sunday with Victory Church on July 31. Our vacation was a nice bumper between what was and what was to come. This year we were blessed to be able to stay in a family members cabin located right outside Pigeon Forge, TN. This was the kids first trip outside of florida and our first official road trip as a family. This was an 11 hour drive and after only two hours Lia had already begun asking if we were almost there. Needless to say this 11 hours felt like an eternity. Overall the kids handled the trip well. Once there, Lia and Judah loved seeing the mountains and playing in the nearby creeks. The first day there we went to Ober Gatlinburg where we saw bears, rode the alpine slide, water-slide and enjoyed other mountainside attractions. Every day was a new adventure for the kids. From wilderness hikes to gem mining and river exploring our family was refreshed to get away and enjoy the Mountains of Tennessee.
